Privacy policy

Last updated: 4 November 2026

This policy explains what personal information Avalon Tree Services collects, what we do with it and the choices you have.

Who we are

Avalon Tree Services is run by Jhereck Jones, who is responsible for your information. You can reach us about anything in this policy by emailing info@avalontreeservices.co.uk or calling 07783 008782.

What we collect

When you fill in our quote form, we collect:

  • your name, phone number and email address
  • your town or postcode
  • what you need doing, and anything else you choose to tell us
  • how you heard about us, if you tell us

If you call or email us, we’ll also have your number or email address and whatever you tell us. If you go ahead with a job, we’ll keep the details we need to carry it out and bill for it, such as the address of the work.

How we use it and why

  • To answer your enquiry and give you a quote. You’ve asked us to do this, and it’s a step towards an agreement between us.
  • To carry out and bill for the work. We need to do this to meet our agreement with you.
  • To keep business and tax records. The law requires us to do this.
  • To see how people find us. It’s in our legitimate interest to know which of our advertising works.
  • To see how people use this website. We only do this if you accept Google Analytics cookies, and you can change your mind at any time.

We won’t add you to a mailing list or send you marketing.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your information. We only share it where we need to:

  • with the companies that provide our website hosting and email
  • with Google, which provides Google Analytics, if you accept analytics cookies
  • with a contractor, if we bring one in to help with your job
  • with our accountant or tax adviser, and with anyone we’re legally required to tell

Some of these companies may handle information outside the UK. Where they do, the law requires them to protect it properly.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry or job. We keep business and tax records for as long as the law requires.

Cookies and website data

When you first visit, we ask whether you accept Google Analytics cookies. If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by a code) that tell us things like which pages people visit, how they found the site and roughly where they are. It doesn’t tell us who you are, and we don’t use it for advertising. Google keeps this information for 14 months. If you reject, these cookies aren’t set and Google Analytics doesn’t load.

We also set one cookie, ats_consent, to remember your choice for a year. You can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page.

Our website host may keep short-term technical logs to keep the site secure and working.

Your rights

You have the right to ask us for a copy of your information and to ask us to correct it or delete it. You can also ask us to limit how we use it, object to how we use it, or give it to you in a form you can pass on to someone else. Some of these rights have limits. For example, we may need to keep tax records.

To use any of these rights, email or call us using the details above. It’s free, and we’ll normally reply within one month.

Making a complaint

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve used your information, please tell us first so we can try to put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll put the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
